Specialised in road traffic sign installation, Walker Sign Erectors were established in 1995 and became a Ltd company in 1999. Prior to this Paul Walker (Managing Director) had been involved in the installation of fixed traffic signs since 1982. Walkers Sign Erectors have grown into one of the UK’s pre-eminent specialised fixed traffic sign erection companies. Based in Winsford Cheshire, this location has been ideal due to its central location and vicinity to major roads to work in all parts of the country.
From a base group of four site operatives we now directly employ twenty five staff; nineteen of which are site operatives and a management team of six to ensure that there is the necessary support to provide an efficient and effective service. Altogether there is over two hundred fifty years of combined knowledge in fixed traffic sign installation. We see ourselves as a very reliable company and flexible to our client’s requests, this is reflected in the fact that we have been the main contractor with regard to maintenance of fixed traffic signs to Area 10 Motorways and trunk roads since the firms creation. In this time we have worked under several different lead contractors but have provided a competent service in so far as to be recommended for the new client, and carry out works to their satisfaction.
